To insert the blade of the razor at the lower end of the handle is screwed.

If you think a modern multiblade razor, for example a Gilette Mach 3 or Fusion, gives you the smoothest shave...... I can tell you.........you are wrong! A saftey razor shaves very close to the skin with less irritation. Your skin will feel better, looks better by using a safety razor. I like the heavy duty one like this. The weight of the long handle do the job for you. It glides over your skin. The blades you have to use are much cheaper than the modern Mach 3 or Fusion blades. If you like the best classic shave........go for this one!
